Day off today so everybody took advantage of a later breakfast. Shona spent her day off buying paint (!) for the work we have to do tomorrow and the next, the young ones Janette included were for topping up their tans so they headed off to a safe swimming beach. That left Jean and myself to head off to the lagoon for a boat safari. Saw huge water monitors (lizards), kingfisher, cormorants, and fish eagles. Also visited a cinnamon growing island and a Buddhist temple on an island. All a wee bit of a tourist trap but good fun nevertheless. Stopped off at Tsunami memorial on the way back. Along that particular part of the coast there is still a great deal of evidence of houses damaged and washed away in the Tsunami. Barbecue at our guest house tonight before it is back to work tomorrow. It simply will not be long before we are heading home.
