Auckland’s weather is fickle. Wet as I left the house to catch the bus so took my rain jacket. As soon as the bus reached town the sun was splitting the skies and it was far too warm for the jacket. A spot of culture today at Auckland Museum with a Maori cultural show. Very good but Island Breeze from the IWT stable cover most of it and more so I am looking forward to them returning to Fenwick in November.
Also took the opportunity to look at some of the other exhibits particularly about New Zealand’s involvement in various wars. The museum is also Auckland’s war memorial. The walls lined with the names of the dead couplds with the first hand stories are all quite moving.
