Day 3 - Sunday 19th September

Church this morning at Long Bay Baptist Church where there was another very warm welcome.  Style was informal, relaxed and contemporary.  I knew one of the songs which helped the others were easily picked up.  Enjoyed it very much.
Chaplaincy stuff doesn’t start until tomorrow so my hosts took me North of here, through Orewa where we had coffee in sight of the beach.  Then onto Wenderholm Regional Park and another spectacular beach.  Also drove up to Puhoi through some typically New Zealand native forest.  Tree Ferns abounded.  Then it was back to the ranch to settle down to another 3 games of rugby – if only Georgia had slotted their penalties then England would have been sweating! One thing is certain about this World Cup is the standard of the “minnow” nations has all increased.
