Met up with Jill today whom I vaguely remember from family
visits to my Gran’s sister in Bournemouth (she is my Gran’s sister daughter, so
my first cousin once removed). We had
sort of lost touch with her on our side of the family but a couple of e-mails before
I left the UK put us back in touch. We
agreed to meet for brunch but that turned intothe day together. Visiting Orwhera Point (views to the South
Island), Scorching Bay for brunch, Weta Cave (the home Gollum and many more
special effects in Lord of the Rings and other films) and an explore of
Zealandi (a cross between a zoo and a nature reserve). All in all a good day and while blustery the
weather stayed fine.
