NZ Day 4 – Monday 19th September

Time to travel to Wellington but briefing meeting first.  Good to catch up with David from the UK as well as the ENGAGE CEO and then lunch with some of the other ENGAGE folk.  It seems to be how Kiwis do meetings – over coffee or over lunch, suits me!  This afternoon a chance to catch up with some e-mails before heading to the airport but not before it decided to rain again.  I have not seen anything that resembles drizzle or soft rain here in New Zealand just stair rods!  In that sense the rain is more tropical than temperate.  Early at the airport so transferred to the earlier flight and a very comfortable trip to Wellington.  Sunset above the clouds was amazing - but my camera was stowed away – and then the decent into “the Windy City”.  The captain warned us that we might get some turbulence due to wind shear and he wasn’t wrong.  Met by Andrew and came out to Karori via “ArtsFest” in which Andrew’s daughter Vita (along with a whole host of primary school children) was performing.  An hour or so of songs related to each of the participating World Cup countries it was actually quite good.  Then home to bed and supper!
